Indoor Watering

When watering in the Flavor Lab, keep these 5 things in mind

1. PLANT STAGES

Plants in different stages of growth (seed>seedling>planting> established plant) have different water requirements.

Seeds/Seedlings - Due to their non-existent or shallow root system, they require light and frequent watering.

Plantings/Established Plants - Already have an established root system so they require longer and less frequent watering

2. SEASONS

The angle of the sun and the intensity of heat vary throughout the year and affects the microclimates in the greenhouse differently each season.

Water less frequently in the Winter and gradually increase to more frequently in the Summer

3. ROOTS

Shallow roots of established plants require less water and deep-rooted plants require more. Here are some examples of plant watering in the Winter:

Shallow Roots - Light Soak

Medium Roots - Moderate Water

Deep Roots - Heavy Water

Spinach, Lettuce, Onions, Nasturtium

Arugula, Broccoli Rabe, Marigolds (until est. then 1x a week), Peas, Radish, Tomato

Carrots, Beets
